In 1963 Kenneth Williams narrated Nikolai Gogols story for an animated film by Richard Williams which was never completed.
The audio was broadcast on Sunday 3rd February 1991 at 8pm on BBC Radio 4.

I would like to complete this film, this is the first part only. This is presented as a ‘sketch’ for a future original work and can be considered ‘fan art’ in this context.
